The Nepean Jr Wildcats U22 AA team will host its first annual Girls Summer Hockey Clinic on August 24th/25th. Participants will be provided with a structured environment that promotes learning, competition, and fun both on and off the ice. Please read below for more information.
This clinic will serve as a fundraiser for the Nepean Junior Wildcats team as they are set to travel to Blaine, Minnesota for a showcase tournament in October 2024 (Tradition National Invitational Tournament).
We have limited spots available so registration will be on a first come, first served basis. Link to register will remain available until all spots are filled.
DATES: Saturday, August 24th (competitive) and Sunday, August 25th (recreational)
LOCATION: AMPED Sports Lab, 2600 Leitrim Rd.
CLINIC FORMAT:
Saturday ice times will vary between 10am-6pm and will be reserved for competitive players.
Sunday ice times will vary between 8am-3pm and will be reserved for non-competitive players.
Specific ice times will be sent at a later date once registration is closed.
In general, younger age groups will be earlier with older age groups later in the day.
On-ice: participants will run through a 1-hour session including individual skills and small area games with a focus on learning, competition, and FUN!
Off-ice: participants will run through an official off-ice warmup prior to the ice time, and an official cool-down following the ice time. This is a very important step for injury prevention. It also promotes a fun and inclusive team atmosphere.
Players will be expected to arrive at least 45 minutes before their designated ice times, and will be ready for pickup 30 minutes following the ice time. Ice times will be sent at a later date, once registration closes.
WHAT TO BRING:
All participants should arrive with full hockey equipment as NO equipment or jerseys will be provided, as well as proper off-ice clothing (running shoes, athletic wear). Don't forget water bottles.
COACHING STAFF:
All sessions will be led by our U22 Nepean Junior Wildcats players under the supervision of the coaching staff. Participants will be under supervision for the duration of the clinic, both on and off the ice.
DIVISIONS/CATEGORIES:
The following divisions will be available during registration: U9, U11, U13, U15, U18.
All divisions will have a competitive and non-competitive category to choose from. Selection should be based on where the participants will play in Fall 2024.
FEES:
Register BEFORE July 31st at 11:59pm:
Individual player: $50
Individual goalie: $25
Register AFTER July 31st:
Individual player: $60
Individual goalie: $35
Discounts will be applied for extra siblings: $10 discount on second
sibling, $20 discount on third sibling.
